Spatial Concepts

Aim: assess your child's understanding of spatial concepts

N2 to K2:
Look at the picture below. What is the colour of the block that is on top of the green one?















Lower Primary:
Look at the picture below. What is the colour of the block that is the tallest?














Middle Primary:
If you want to make a flower appear closer than a house in a drawing, what should you do?
(1) Draw the flower smaller than the house
(2) Draw the house smaller than the flower
(3) Draw them both the same size
(4) None of the above

Upper Primary:
If you were drawing a house close up and one far away, name two things you would change about the house that was far away to help show that it was far away.

 

 

Answers: 

N2 to K2: Yellow

Lower Primary: Blue

Middle Primary:
(2) Draw the house smaller than the flower;  

Upper Primary:
Draw the house that is further away a smaller size; include less detail in the house that is far away; add other objects around it to help show its size like trees or mountains.
